ZCP Conservation Club Scholarship

In collaboration with Chipembele Wildlife Education Trust, ZCP’s scholarship recipients are successful students identified through our conservation clubs and provided with all necessary school materials and tuition. Additionally, students are provided with a pair of binoculars and a guidebook and opportunities to accompany ZCP staff during school breaks to assist and learn more about wildlife work in the Luangwa Valley.

For $450 you can sponsor a local student like Benny (see below) under our Junior Naturalist Program for a full year. To donate securely online click here and specify “Generosity in Action’s Fund – Zambian Carnivore – Junior Naturalist Program” in the comment box provided.

Previous recipients

Benny Mwila2010 & 2011 ~ Benny Mwila, a promising young student from Mfuwe, received our 2010 & 2011 scholarship to support his academics and training in ecology. Benny is 19 years of age and he will now be going on to complete his final year at Mfuwe Secondary School in 2011.

2009 ~ Our first scholarship recipient was Simon Chulu from Mfuwe. Simon attended Yosefe School and did very well in his Grade 9 exams. He is a keen member of the Conservation Club and on occasion when the teacher was absent he took responsibility to ensure the club activities continued. He is looking forward to being an active club member as he transitions to Mfuwe Secondary School and his energy and enthusiasm will likely be inspirational to other students.
